As you may be aware, our upcoming meeting (Aug. 17th) features part 1 of a multi-part tutorial by Ryan Yogan on Mongoid, a Ruby Object-Document-Mapper (ODM) for mongodb. Anyone interested in participating — and why wouldn't you be — will want to get a Rails 3 development environment set up on their laptop before arriving. Ryan has compiled instructions for doing this on Linux / Mac OS X systems. Windows users can follow these instructions.
Post questions to the meetup site if you run into trouble getting set up. We'll try to get it sorted out before the meeting.
We hope to see you there,
