The Triggertrap Mobile works with your smartphone to trigger your camera in 17 different ways, like sound, motion, face recognition, time lapse, HDR, etc. Here’s a great chance to get a free Triggertap Mobile and have a load ‘o’ fun at the bean using it.
Triggertrap is making available a generous number of devices for free to our members. I’ll be handing them out at the meetup, going over some basic uses, and letting your imaginations run free! For those so inclined, I’ll be demonstrating and instructing on the use of the Long Exposure HDR function, which I used to create the photograph above. You are encouraged to upload your photos to Flickr tagged #triggertrap in the Triggertrap Flickr group pool. There will also be a meetup photo album, and I’ll be picking the best images and moving them to the pool.
How it works:
- You need to RSVP with the cable you need. You can select the cable suitable for your camera here, https://triggertrap.com/products/dongle/ The first 6 people to RSVP with their camera model and cable will have a free Triggertrap reserved for them. -Put your camera model and cable model number in the comments section of your RSVP.-
*** Please do not RSVP unless you are absolutely sure you can make it to the meetup, I cannot “un-order” the Triggertrap reserved for you. ***
- I will order the Triggertraps in time to get them for the meetup.
- You need to download the free Triggertrap app from either
the Apple Itunes app store or
the Google Play app store
depending on your phone. You should get used to the app by playing with your phone’s internal camera prior to the meetup.
At the meetup, once I see that you have the app installed on your phone, I’ll give you the Triggertap and we’ll hook it up to your camera. (I just want to see that you put a little effort into the whole thing.) Hint: it also works on the iPad :-)
You can still buy one If you don’t luck out and get a free one, you can still buy one from Triggertrap. See the comment below.
I’ve been using the Triggertrap Mobile for quite a while, almost a year, it is a blast to use and really sparks your creativity, it’ll be interesting to see what a whole bunch of people under a giant bean can do with one. We’ll be doing this towards the end of the day to get both some great daytime and nighttime shots.
