The First Wine & Critique of 2013

Welcome to the first W&C of the New Year!

The W&C continues to grow every month. 2012 was a learning experience for all of us and we are committed to making the W&Cs in 2013 better than ever!

There will be a few changes in store for 2013, mainly due to the great response that we have enjoyed. The first change that you will see immediately is that the monthly photo contest has moved online. This will hopefully work out to allow for more time for critiquing. See all the details below.

We are also looking at better ways to display images down the road.

Bring a bottle of wine and your best photos to the next wine & critique session at The Chicago Photography Center. Get feedback on your work from industry experts and your peers. Photos can be printed or on a jump-drive, BUT, since printing is such a critical part of the overall creative process, we are STRONGLY encouraging participants to consider bringing in printed work.

Please limit yourself to 3 examples of your work for review. This new limit is in response to the overwhelming success of this event and to allow everyone an opportunity to get to have their work reviewed.

Participants are required to bring a bottle of wine/beer/soda or a small snack to share with the group or pay a nominal fee of 5 dollars. Please no hard liquor, due to insurance regulations. If you are not 21 or don't drink, feel free to bring any type of non-alcoholic drink or snack

With the holidays here, now is the time to take your best photo for next month's wine & critique photo contest. We are doing something a little different this month. The theme is "Holidays". Take your favorite, best, worst, funniest or weirdest image and submit online. Yes this is an online contest! Post your image at
