PostgreSQL: The World's Most Advanced Open Source Database.
We are a community of Postgres professionals who seek to deepen our understanding of this awesome relational database, explore ways to extend Postgres, build applications atop it, interface it to other databases, and tune it for maximum value. We seek to do this in a casual setting while sharing friendships, food, and - of course - beer. So come, join us and discuss your Postgres experiences and share the tips and tricks you've learned using it.

Dear Chicago PUG members,
The last week of April in Chicago is going to be all about Postgres! Our April meetup is scheduled for April 24 from 5-30 PM to 8 PM, just two days before our main event of the year—PG Day Chicago 2024. (Don't forget to register for this one-day conference, and please reach out to Hettie hettie.dombrovskaya@volunteer.postgresql.us for a discount code for Chicago PUG members)
On April 24, we will meet at our usual location: DRW Training Center, 540 W. Madison, 25th floor.
A reminder about our venue:
- This is a high-security building, which means the names of all participants should be communicated no later than 7:30 AM on the day of the event, and all participants must present a government-issued ID to be admitted. If your meetup profile does not list your full name, please send a DM with the required information to Hettie. Registration for all in-person events will be closed by 7-30 AM the day of the event.
- The food order will be placed two days before the event, so I strongly encourage everybody planning to attend to RSVP by April 22.
- If you plan to attend virtually, please RSVP for the Zoom version here. Please RSVP to this event only if you are attending in person.

Our next meetup is scheduled for April 24 from 5-30 PM to 8 PM at the DRW Training Center, 540 W. Madison, 25th floor. Zoom event will start at 6 PM. Please note: this zoom is "always open", but there will be nobody there until 6 PM!
Our tech support team worked hard to mitigate the issue that occurred during our March meetup when the Training Center lost connection to the Zoom meeting. We hope it won't happen again, but if you do not see anybody on Zoom at 6-05, please contact Hettie directly.
