Full Moon Fire Dancers & Drum Jam, w/picnic dinner

Come out and enjoy the Full Moon Festival Fire Jam! This exciting free monthly
event is held from 6p-10p at the lakefront near Foster Ave Park 5050 N. Simonds Dr.(between Lawrence Ave & Foster Ave), on the grass on the west side of the street. 1/2 mile from the beach. Limited free street parking on Simonds Dr. available, or a metered pay lot at Foster.

The entertainment consists of a group of Fire Dancers and Percussionists. Anybody
that brings an instrument can join in! Women and men dance and spin, juggle, or hula hoop with fire to tribal drumbeats played by percussionists. Performance starts at sunset(around 7:30p) The organizer for the Fire Jam pyrotechnic group has requested that due to heat and smoke, grills be kept away from where people are sitting. So this time we will bring picnic foods that are already prepared(sandwiches, chips, salads, chicken, fruit, dessert, etc.) This way everyone can better enjoy the event, and not be stuck watching the grill.

It's fun for people of all ages, and is family friendly. Alcohol is discouraged, glass bottles are not allowed(so bring your favorite "adult" beverages in an unmarked water, pop, or juice bottle) We will have a "special" punch to share, and bring a picnic style dinner for yourself or to share, enough for 3 or 4 people, and/or $5 donation. This is a really fantastic event, don't miss it. Bring a jacket since it may get cool by the lake at night. Bring a lawn chair if you like, or just sit on our blanket.

We will have a large tarp spread with blue blankets. Look for a big red & yellow umbrella, and our Enjoy Life Chicago! Meetup sign on a blue granny cart. I will have a white table set up with Meetup signs taped to it. Bring citronella bucket candles if you have them, & bug spray.

This event is roughly a block south of Foster Av. Ignore your GPS that tells you to exit LSD at Lawrence or Wilson!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
