How to Raise Secular Children?

(Reposted from Secular Events of Chicago)

Raising a child is difficult enough. But, raising a secular child in today’s America? How?

Come and discuss issues we face as non-theistic families, share solutions and resources. Learn and share ideas from a panel of parents that have overcome many obstacles and now they can share their most profound and interesting experiences.

If you are a secular parent or planning to become one, this event is just for you. Join us!

Great event! Happy to report that I have four adult Atheist/Skeptic children and six grandchildren being brought up likewise.

It's easy! Always, always tell them the truth (except for Santa and the Tooth Fairy, who may be allowed for a few years if you like--it didn't seem to harm my brood, and have a good laugh when they figure it out and confront you because it doesn't fit with everything else you've been telling them. :-))

    Hi,

This event is going to be an experimental hub for similar future events to come. We urge you to come and be a part of it. We need you and encourage you to attend.

If you have friends or family members who would like to attend, please, invite them over.

    Help us promote this event.

The $8 suggested donation is to pay for the auditorium. But, if you cannot afford it it's OK too. This is a community event and we want you there one way or another ;)

Thank you, and we'll see you next Saturday
