I've never taken the train beyond the City of Chicago, so riding Amtrak to St. Louis would be a lot of fun too.  Carpooling is another option.

Looks like a kid-friendly event.  Kids (12 and under) get a discount.

Our hotel couldn't give us a second night for tonight. Does anyone have carpool space for 2 to Chicago? Or any advice on lodging? Cheapest near room is $400. Don't have car because we came on Amtrak. Thanks!

Hotels.com has some fairly inexpensive rooms not far from the Marriott where Jairus is staying.

If you don't find a ride, the train thing is pretty handy...we did that for our last scouting mission. There are cabs right at the train station to get you to your hotel or the conference. Depending on where you're staying, the train station may even be walking distance.

Im looking for somebody with some extra space in their car, and will contribute to gas. Also could go the train route but since i dont know St. Louis prefer to go with somebody that knows their way around. Please let me know if interested to talk about options! Thanks

Anyone with spare time and interested in Native American culture and history may want to pay a visit to Cahokia Mounds, just outside St. Louis (actually, East St. Louis): http://cahokiamounds.org

I'll be driving down on Saturday night and back on Sunday. I have one person riding shotgun, but two more seats still available.

I still have some rooms available for $69 a night plus tax. Includes free wifi, but it's $10 a night to park. Marriott at the St. Louis Airport. Please contact me directly, not the hotel: [masked]. Thanks!
