What was your path to skepticism?

I was a child evangelical traveling minister at 12 who studied the bible weekly with the head of us army minister, the head of the air force minister and other head religious figures who in addition to brain washing me supplied me with the best resources for studying the bible. The problem was the material, any intelligent investigation would turn anyone into a skeptic. After studying all the major religions i found Joseph Cambell's comparative mythology's Power O Myth. At sixteen I met and partied with Carl Sagan during the Mars landing. The final path was reading Sagan's books.

What is the best day and time for you to meet?

Are you alarmed by the state of scientific knowledge among the general population in America?

I think it is Americas greatest challenge. Republican capitalistic policies hijacked and financed the christian right agenda to dumb down american's critical thinking for the last 100 years so as to hoodwink the gullible into a anti-science but profit minded agendas. Science is responsible for 50 percent of the GDP. Without scientific knowledge we will never recover our economic climate

Are there issues or topics you'd especially like to discuss?

Singularity solutions for the future. Philosophy and religion. Critical thinking

Introduction

Seeking intelligent people to have intellectual discourse with. I'm tired of being labeled long winded due to the lack of intelligence of faith based thinkers. I'm a singulatarian, a contrarian and a skeptic society member
