What was your path to skepticism?

I went to visit Jessica the Palm Reader in Georgetown, Washington DC, I was also working for Foresight, a government thinktank in UK, they both said things that relied on reading signs & signals but one of them wanted me to pay them to 'fix my aura'

What is the best day and time for you to meet?

I can do weekdays and week day evenings mostly.

Are you alarmed by the state of scientific knowledge among the general population in America?

Yes, being as I am from the UK, there is quite a dramatic difference in secularism and skeptism and beliefs in scientific fact versus creationist facts.

Are there issues or topics you'd especially like to discuss?

I am particularly interested in cults and societies and the methods they use to entice people to join them. I am especially interested to hear about any that exist in the USA and around the Midwest.

I am designer and futurist from the UK and recently moved to Chicago. I found you via the QS Chicago meet up group and interested in coming along to hear about Myths and Mysteries of Lake Michigan.
