Saturday December 21st Trip to Devils Head

As usual the charter bus will depart the intersection of Clark and Division at 6:00am and the corner of Fullerton and Sheffield at 6:30am.  After an additional stop at the REI in Schaumburg we will head to the mountain and arrive by 9:30am. Tickets will be distributed as you exit the bus so no waiting in line! You can literally hop right off the bus and on to the lifts! If you have your own gear you can bring it along and if you need gear there are rentals available ($20). We can also arrange 90 minute lessons for $10! People wanting to meet up there should catch us in the bus lot for your lift tickets, if you don't have them. The bus will leave the mountain at 5:30pm so you get almost 8 hours of skiing/riding... We will play movies on the way home while you enjoy refreshments. Nothing like relaxing on the way home and trading stories from the slopes or napping with no worries about driving! Feel free to bring a small cooler if you would like. We will be back in the city between 8:30 and 9:00 pm and will drop off at the same locations we picked up from.

These trips are great for meeting people to ski/ride with so don't be afraid to come alone! We are all very friendly!! :)

The cost for this trip $89 for transportation, your lift ticket and refreshments on the bus in both directions. Please make your reservation early so we will have a lift ticket for you. Everyone is welcome so bring your friends! We are looking forward to hitting the slopes with you!! Please book your trip on our website ahead of time so we can inform the resorts ahead of time about our numbers and make the process very smooth!

Happen to know what time is the Schaumburg pickup? Do you have an arrangement with REI so our cars won't get towed from being there all day?

Thanks for the info! I will look into other clubs too esp of there are discounts. I kept saying we dont have enough ppl since Devils head website says a minimum of 20 are eligible for a group discount (and also one free lift ticket for every 20 purchased). I have never been there so maybe their website has old info or maybe they offer other discounts for a group of 15 or more. Well i hope it works out for you and its just a great day on the hills!

Sadly, I sprained my ankle. I'm pretty sure no walking means no skiing

Amy the cost covers the charter bus we take and gas, driver tip, your group lift ticket, and food/drinks on the bus. You have the option to drive on your own and meet us in the parking lot but we ask that you beat us there so we don't have group organizers waiting for people to arrive. Thanks!

What food/refreshments are included? Curious, so I know what to bring based upon personal preferences/diet.

Hi. This will be my first meetup so I just wondered what accounts for the $89 price since I thought lift tix there were like $50ish? I was not sure whether you get discounts for being in a group and assumed we would save on gas because of shared costs.

probably the profit motive and to pay the driver / movies

This is exactly what I am confused about. There is no way that it is $40 per person for gas to and from Wisconsin, not to mention the fact that I thought ski clubs got lower rates on lift tickets with volume..? I thought this was a social group; is it private/aka for-profit?
