While our events to date have been more focused on a given subject or design segment, we wanted to open up this MeetUp to cover a more broad range of Graphic Design topics. Attendees are encouraged to come to this event loaded with various questions pertaining to the field of design, and to help create a Town Hall/Round Table Discussion sort of atmosphere. This is a great opportunity for designers right out of school or for those of us who have been plugging along in the field of design since the wax and paste up days to ask any questions they might have, but weren't sure who to turn to! There is no such thing as a stupid question, well, unless you want to ask about the fine design aspects of Publisher, so be ready to ask away, and lets have a fun night of talking design!
We are fortunate to be able to bring in Tim Padgett and Cindy Wojdyla of Pepper Group, a full-service business-to-business marketing communications firm in Palatine. Tim & Cindy will give you the opportunity to ask anything about their experiences, preferences and opinions. And they have many of each! Marketing, creativity, strategy, leadership, entrepreneurship, collaboration, motivation and culture—whatever the questions, they’ll give frank and honest answers.
Join us for a great night of sharing and laughs as we discuss one of the greatest professions in the world.
About Tim, Cindy, and Pepper Group---
Rust Never Sleeps
While Neil Young said it first, these two guests prove it out. Far from “over the hill,” they are ready to share their adventures in the marketing and advertising game.
Tim is the Founder & CEO of Pepper Group, a full-service business-to-business marketing communications firm in Palatine. Cindy is the Creative Director at Pepper Group and spent her early career at agencies in New York. Rust Never Sleeps was Tim’s idea for a title, but don’t think for a minute that these two are easy to keep up with when it comes to their enthusiasm and output.
Tim started Pepper Group in a spare bedroom and today it is a 16-person boutique firm that has been recognized as a B-to-B Magazine Top Agency for six years running. In 2013 Pepper Group was named one of the 101 Best & Brightest Places to Work in Chicago. Tim has started multiple businesses over the years and is currently on three boards of directors for non-profits.
Cindy joined Pepper Group in 2008 and has been an integral part of Pepper’s growth and versatility in services provided. Throughout her more than 20 years in the business, Cindy has just about seen and heard it all. She’s a no-nonsense leader of creative pros who work together to deliver great design and messaging.
