I once watched a documentary on excellence and discovered that the world best sushi place is not some fancy super-expensive restaurant, but some unassuming little hole-in-the-wall. Burt’s Place is the equivalent for pizza. Anthony Bourdain, author of Kitchen Confidential and host of No Reservations, has proclaimed Burt’s Place the best pizza in the world. This explains some of the hoops you need to jump through to eat here: reservations are mandatory (despite some online reviews saying it is just recommended), and you need to place your order when you make your reservations. Evidently Burt buys just enough food for that day’s pizza schedule.
Time: TBD (I’m trying to work this event along with the Can’t Stop the Serenity event on the same day)
