Chicago Arabic language, Culture & civilization Club Monthly Meetup

  • Jul 24, 2013 · 7:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Do you want to practice your Arabic? Are you fascinated by the Arab culture and civilization? Are you of an Arabic decent?
This is a social group where we get together once a month and practice Arabic. We come together both as new learners and native speakers to share the passion of discussing Middle Eastern topics in a very relaxed environment nibbling on Arabic appetizers. Please feel free to join us whether you speak or you are just curious about how to say Salam.

Thanks for the encouragement! Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend tomorrow, but I will definitely make the next event. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone!

There are various levels of Arabic understanding. Truman college offers Arabic classes from beginning to advanced.

Don't worry Cathy, in my experience, the conversation is 75% English and maybe 25% Arabic... Depending on your fluency. Since all participants speak very good English, the conversation tends to move in that direction. I think you'll enjoy it...looking forward to meeting you...Jaydee

I joined this group due to my interest in Arabic culture, but I don't speak Arabic. Will the entire conversation be in Arabic, or are there others who don't speak Arabic as well?
