Until you attend one, you might not think much of the great-grand-daddy of all redneck sports. To sum it up, I'd have to say, nothing is more exciting then sitting in the bleachers on a warm summer night, sipping beer, cheering automotive destruction on a muddy field.

Beaters without windows, spray-painted with the names of local businesses sponsoring them or decorated for a laugh, are entertaining on their own. But then with a loud roar the bumping and banging starts. Before you know it... you're hooked! The beer is cheap and tickets are a bargain, $12 per adult (cash only). Forget your worries, your job, your ills and join Ed and I for a few hours of destruction.

6:30pm - Meet us in the Winner's Circle at Sycamore Speedway for dinner/drinks (not included).
8:00pm - Time trials start at 7:00, races at 8:00.
We'll buy our tickets (cash only) and find seats after dinner.
