Come join me, Jane, for a Guided
Sunset Kayaking + Burger, Beer & Bonfire! We did this last year and it was great! As we make our way down the river, guides will treat us to a tour of the history of the architecture of some of the city's most famous bridges and skyscrapers, as well Goose Island and the Merchandise Mart.

We'll then return to Kayak Chicago and turn up the volume with an hour-long cookout, complete with bonfires and music. Gourmet burgers and sandwiches prepared fresh await courtesy of the Wagyu Wagon -- along with a side of hand-cut fries and a craft beer. As the evening ebbs, cap it all off with fresh s'mores to bring an ooey, gooey end to an amazing day.

Can I ask where people are parking? I'm a little concerned about walking back to my car at night because I'm unfamiliar with the area. Thanks.

I would recommend shorts & a t-shirt that dry quickly if they get wet....and sandals you don't mind getting wet bc your feet will definitely get wet...

Hey all! I will be at the check-in table with a meet-up sign so that we can all find each other. I posted this in another meetup group, so there are a little over 40 people in total who rsvp'd. The weather forecast is in the high 70s and sunny for Thursday...should be a great day! :-)

This group looks like a lot of fun. Is it okay if I am new to kayaking? I would consider myself in fairly good shape and I run 3-4 times a week. Does the price include the kayak and life preserver?

    1 · May 27

    • Jane O.

yes, you do get a kayak & life preserver...you just need to show up :-)...and you will be fine :-) you don't have to be in great shape to kayak...I was so afraid the first time I did it, but it was so much easier than I expected & I really love it!
