Once again we are teaming up with CPS & the City of Chicago to bring you three days of fun chess. Each day there will be: chess activities, an 'all-ages' chess tournament, & instructors for beginners.

These are the same guys who helped with that all-nighter downtown last year. They've been doing a lot of work in scholastic chess recently so it's nice to see them do something that's friendly for all ages of players, not that they've ignored the regular chessplaying community totally, but it would be nice to see them host a regular club meeting in Northbrook rather than even after event. But then again I'm not complaining, events are better than no events and having an organization that does the things that they do is a great asset to the chessplaying community.
