Exploring the City's Data Catalog

There are over 930 data sets in the City Chicago data catalog.  From transportation data to environmental data to service data and beyond.  We will explore just what is in the catalog.  We will pick great examples from every category and go through what the data sets look like and how you can access them.  Come prepared to talk about the data you use and inspire others.

Your hosts for the event are CCDUG co-founders Adam Hecktman and Spencer Stern.

As usual, if you have a project you are working on, please come and discuss it.  If you are looking for help, this is group is a great pool of resources to draw from.  We look forward to having you.

I'm unable to make it due to a last-minute commitment, but will work through the datasets and participate in future.

I doubt I'll be able to make it on time, but I'll try.

If you want to poke around the data catalog yourself either before or after the session, go to http://data.cityofchicago.org.

How about a location that is parking friendly

I can suggest two parking options: One is in the building itself. Parking is on the lower level (take Columbus under the bridge and in a couple of lights you will see the sign for Aon parking). The other is across the street at Millennium Park Garage. You have to walk a bit, but it is easier to find the entrance.
