Chicago Dads Group @ Skokie Exploritorium
Skokie Park District's "Exploritorium" is similar to a typical children's museum but this place also has some additional interactive play activities, including arts/crafts area, costume dress-up/stage area, table train area, block building area, a water feature, toddler play area, plus a large two-story playground structure with a tunnel maze, tube slides, bridges, climbing stairs/steps, zip line that even the adults can play on with their kids. Looks like a fun, safe place for the kids to play and explore ~ lets try it out!
FYI ~ Strollers are not allowed past the entrance gate, so pack the diaper bag accordingly. This place does not have an onsite cafe, only a few vending machines near the entrance and a few small four person tables/chairs to use behind the entry gate, so pack a lunch and/or bring some snacks for the gang and make a day of it. No food/drink is allowed in the play area. Plenty of FREE onsite parking.
Cost: $5 per person including adults, (FREE under 12 months)
For those of you who are in city and prefer to use pubic transportation; the Exploritorium is located directly across the street from the CTA Yellow Line @ Oakton-Skokie Station.
RSVP (+kids) if you plan on joining us here.
Hope to see you all there!
