Hey Everyone,

Our next meeting is at Prairie Moon in Evanston.

There are scheduled to be 3 or 4 sessions running and we can accommodate a good number of folks:

There should be at least 2 games running.

The World of Brightbanner by Terry:

A 3.5 "home" brew in which a group of 9th level players have found themselves battling evil outsiders on the moon.

The Magnificent 7 and a Half by Simon:

A 4.0 game where a party of rugged yet interesting mercenaries are trying to pull the Heist of the Century.

Note: Terry may have made part of this up

Players - Bring dice and an open mind.
Bring characters too, if you like but we have pregens. The types of characters are mentioned on the group message boards.

Please try and remember that Prairie Moon is public place. They really like having us too so lets remember the rules:

1) Arrive as close to noon as possible (makes it easier for your DMs)
Some folks get there around 11:30 to order lunch.

2) We don't have a server really so order at the bar.

3) Be considerate (I define considerate very broadly)
Imagine you're going to hear a talk by a great writer in a nice restaurant. Imagine that there may also be future employers present who love gamers. Imagine also that your mom is watching.

Show up with all of that in mind and you'll be fine and all die rolls will probably be 18 or better.

Every time I shower I feel like I can roll critical hit at will on you guys! I'm may even shave for meetup!

See you guys soon!

Loads of fun, wasn't really expecting to play. I was mostly looking to chat with other players, but the orginizer jumped right in with pregens and a well developed story, so how could i say no. Wicked fun, sorry we didn't have even more people.

Hey, as I'll be coming for the first time this weekend is it worth using a character generator and having a character for one of the 3.5 games? If so what level, or are their premade characters to use? Thanks

Was going to start a game in my house, but the heater is messing up. Looking for a campaign in the Chicago city area. After i get the house back on track, can provide a nice space to play on weekends. Just can't seem to find any sit-down games...let me know gamers!

I have two Pathfinder games I can run, one for level two characters and one for level three. They are both big sandbox settings, where the players can get involved in or go or not go or whatever they want, with plenty of stuff going on in the world, with varying levels of difficulty.

Looks like I won't be making the October meetup, still waiting for my renters to move out of my condo, and I'm in Wisconsin in the meantime. Maybe I will be able to make it to the November meeting.

Hi um I just wanted to know if it was okay if I came and just watched for the first couple times. I've never done this stuff before but all my friends say how fun it is and I've been a bit interested for a while.

I'd be down to play Forgotten Realms. Is anyone playing long term campaigns? I have weekends open to either DM or play. Also have a buddy who'd play. (3.5)

I’m interested in participating in a 3.5 Forgotten Realms campaign.

I think I would be interested also. I am looking to have a game that is consistently during the week. Does anyone know of one of those or, is open to it.

Hey I haven't played in about 8 years but got the urge to search out a D&D game. Is it cool if I come?

    September 23, 2013

Hey! Its been around 4 years since I last attended this meetup. I've been traveling while drafting my game, which is very developed now. I might come to the October meetup. I doubt I'll be there for September, as I'm in Wisconsin until my renters move out.

Can I play if I've never played before? I really want to get into it, but I have no clue how to go about getting started.

Basically as a noob, what would i have to take to the meetup?

    September 16, 2013

    • Terry

Terry runs 3.5 campaigns and I run short session (3 in all) campaigns meaning his can go on for 6 months while mine last 3 months / 3 sessions. We have everything for gaming but you can bring dice (and maybe a pencil). Gaming starts somewhere between noon and ends somewhere around 4-ish pm.

      Well generally around 5:00
