Chicago EE Reboot

It's time to get the band back together!

There are a growing number of EE users in Chicago and many of you have expressed an interest in getting together. So, let's reboot this meetup on Monday, May 7th at 7:00.

Topics include:

  • Deploying EE on Pagoda Box
Bryant Hughes from The Good Lab will show us how he got EE running on Pagoda Box, the new-fangled cloud PHP hosting service.
  • Show and Tell: Show a website, add-on or chunk of code you're proud of.
  • Q&A: Have a burning question or want insight on how others use EE? Ask it here.
  • Reboot: Let's discuss a convenient time, location and format for monthly meetups.

Special Guest:

  • Marcus Neto, the EllisLab Director of Business Development and Product Evangelist will be joining us.

  • Various add-on licenses will be given away. Donations welcome. :)

We're meeting at Fado Irish Pub, downtown at 100 W Grand Ave. It's walking distance from the Red, Purple, Brown and Blue lines with some meter parking around.

We'll be upstairs. Grab a drink from the bar and come up and join us.

Knowledgeable people in the EE/CI community showed up. It felt closely connected with open minds and excellent ideas/questions. It wasn't an intimidating atmosphere, and it was a small enough group where questions could be blurted out during the show and tell.

The introductions are nice with a small group. I also feel that it would be nice to have some sort of intermission to talk and get to know those you gave introductions without hiking out at the end of presentations.

The talk was helpful, the location was great, and the people great for networking--humble, open, and kind.
