Progressive Euchre Meetup #2

The Progressive Euchre Tourney #1 was a big success so we are going to have another one at a new location. We'll have drinks and some food around 6-6:30pm. Game play will start as close as possible to 7pm.

Prior experience is definitely required. We sometimes played fast with a little competitiveness, but always for fun.

I have increased the players to 16 so RSVP soon before it closes out. Whether your response is 'yes', or 'no' , it's important that you RSVP so I know whether to increase/decrease the number of players for this meetup, and your account remains active. Sorry no 'maybe' responses since this game is best played with groups of four.

Not everyone came but was able to find two subs.

Didn't really like format of play. Once around the table and then moving seemed a little hectic. Also, for my taste the game went on too long.

The Euchre Tourniment was terrific. Great people and great players! My only suggestion is that some people were getting a little petered out (me included!) after 15 rounds. Maybe 10 rounds would be a better stopping point.

I think it would be better to do progressive euchre with 8 people playing two rounds at each table. If there were 16 players it would be 8 & 8. One time around did not seem enough time with each group. Now granted, the eight will never interact with the other eight but people can be part of different groups at each Meetup. Does that make sense?
