GIS Lightning Talks

We are super stoked to organize our second round of GIS Lightning Talks. Join us on May 9th at DePaul's loop location (1 E. Jackson Blvd, 5th Floor Room 5800) for mappy goodness and the sharing of ideas and work.

The plan:
We will be scheduling a series of presentations with the following format: 5 minutes for each talk, immediately followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. After presentations we will meet for Geo-Networking at Plymouth bar across the street!

Interested Speakers:
Contact us! Tina or myself (Andrea) would love to hear your talk ideas! We're such a diverse group of mappers and we would love to have that reflected in this event.

Please send along the following info:

My first meeting and I really enjoyed it. There was a good range of topics and levels of expertise required for the various maps. The speakers did a good job of presenting their information in the time frame allowed. Looking forward to more of these.

We have interesting speakers lined up for the 9th and what looks to be a great crowd. This is just a reminder that if your plans have changed, and you cannot make it to the Lightning Talks on Thursday, please change your status so that we have an accurate count of how many will be there. Thank you!

You can come next time. Or just call someone, like Divya.

I put this event on Eventbrite, just to see if they tried to charge me money. They did not. Eventbrite has a very awkward Android app but so does Meetup, it always fails. Then will I end up on the wrong part of Clark surrounded by Irish lawyers. I will bring my attack cat next time.

This event is not on Clark, just so I don't unmap someone.
