If you do not consider yourself a goth, aren't into the music or know anything about the subculture, we may not be the Meetup for you. This is NOT a group for people curious about goth; this is a group for people who *already* associate themselves with the genre in some way to meet others who do as well. This is also not a "dating" group.  Racists or otherwise bigoted people NOT welcome. Not everyone who submits a request to join will be accepted. Just because we're goth doesn't mean we are "all-accepting!" We NEVER judge on age, race, orientation & so forth but we do have other standards.

ALSO: This group is for people who reside in the Chicago area & are thus able to actually attend our Meetups on occasion and we will NOT accept "anonymous" members. If you want to join you must have a recognizable photo of yourself on your Meetup profile & answer the three simple questions asked.
