Dependency Injection Addiction - Learn about CDI (and Spring Interop)

The Java Community loves their development method of choice - Dependency Injection.  Up to this point you've probably used Spring or Guice or Seam.  With Java EE 6 now available in most app servers, you'll want to learn about the new standard, Contexts & Dependency Injection (CDI) and how it's taken the best ideas from all three of the frameworks.  In this talk Ray & Joel will walk you through an introduction to CDI and also show you how to interoperate with your existing Spring Beans.  Learn how cats & dogs can live in harmony while you hack on examples.  Food & Beverages provided.

Ray Ploski - Director of Developer Programs & Strategy at JBoss

Joel Tosi - JBoss Sr. Solutions Architect and hacker.

Literally took nothing away from this meetup. It's great for anyone who's been working with the tech for awhile. As for a useful resource for newbies or newcomers, I would look elsewhere. We had workstations that were not made use of during meetup. There was code and power point slides presented, but none of which we could download and refer back to.
