Killer Startup Tools

  • November 15, 2012 · 6:00 PM

This meetup is designed to teach Circle members how to leverage software tools to accelerate any startups growth.  We will feature several entrepreneurs with specific examples and techniques to teach the you how to get the most out of tools that are free or priced for a bootstrapping startups budget.

The meetup will start with an opportunity to network with fellow startup enthusiasts while enjoying Taylor Made pizza and good beer.

6:45 - Bernhard Kappe, CEO of Pathfinder Software will kick off the presentations with an overview of his favorite startup tools.

7:00 - Yoni Kahnrose, CEO of Think Mint Chip is going to teach the Circle how to AB test to continuously change your site for potential improvements in conversion.  This talk will focus on how to use paid advertising to drive traffic while AB testing to optimize your funnel and drive the right actions before you start marketing in full force.

7:30 - Samer and Sameer, founders of Unbranded Designs are going to show the Circle how they used Linkedin to build an All-star advisory board.  The right advice and connections from the right mentors can mean the difference between folding and reaching the next level in a startup.  They assembled an unbelievable advisory board cold messaging them on Linkedin and will teach the audience how to do the same.

8:00 - Erin Wasson, Marketing and Product Manager at Urbanbound, Hireology and Homescout Realty (yes, that's three companies at the same time!) will talk about how to use Hubspot to get your marketing started on the right foot.  She'll cover high level features of the toolset, and how it can instantly improve your marketing efforts with integrated email marketing, landing pages, detailed lead information, closed loop reporting and more.  She'll also show you how they've used HubSpot to turn a hypothesis into a functioning MVP with minimal developer involvement.

Hope you can join us for the meetup,

Uninformative and not very helpful. One presenter spent 15 minutes explaining the use of inmail, which has been in the mainstream for 3 years. The speakers needed to have a better understanding of who their audience was; a group of tech savvy social media programmers.

It was a great intro to the tools available out there. Wish there was a little more depth to what some of the tools can do instead of just plain endorsement.
