The next Chicago R User's Group meet-up will be on Thursday, April 5 at Jak's Tap, 901 W Jackson Blvd. Doors open at 5:30, presentations begin at 6:00. As always, we'll have hot pizza and a cash bar.
For this meet-up we have two presenters. Colin Smith from RSG will discuss a large model written in R that simulates all freight shipments to and from Chicago. The simulation deals with tough issues in both statistical modeling and Big Data.
Eric Knell from Credit Suisse will talk about the software engineering tools and techniques they use. His team has gone a long way towards making the world safe for large-scale application development in R.
See you at Jak's!
