Practice makes perfect. Just as athletes and musicians must regularly take the time to focus on perfecting their craft, so must we. And what better way to practice, than hanging out with a group of like-minded Rubyists? A Coding Dojo is designed to do just that.

Dave Giunta will take us through a RandoriKata wherein we will each take turns pair-programming a solution to a given problem, using baby steps and Test Driven Development with RSpec and Cucumber. If you want to come a little extra prepared, check out the Bowling Kata ahead of time. All skill levels are encouraged to join us, even if you've never done pair programming, Test Driven Development, RSpec or Cucumber.

I just noticed that the link to the Bowling Kata in the description isn't very helpful. Try this: http://tinyurl.com/cz2t3h And, here's one implementation in ruby: http://tinyurl.com/ccm5ff The description link is for Uncle Bob's original bowling kata, and there's a downloadable powerpoint that takes you through each step of his solution... but it uses java. Interesting, but not as helpful as seeing a description of what we're trying to solve or even a solution. See you all on the 18th.
