2 Vegan Musicians Hit the Stage:
Chicago's own Vegan Celebrity, Marisa Buchheit (Miss Heart of Illinois 2013), has established herself as one of the most promising emerging vocal talents in the city. She is an operatic soprano and an accomplished folk songwriter, with the "soothing voice of a folk princess" according to Indie Music Reviewer magazine. In January 2012, Marisa released her debut album of original folk songs called Mari Therese: "All Yours". She looks forward to returning to the Chicago Veggie Pride Parade as Grand Marshall once again this year. Visit MariSings.com for more info
Kevin Roy Kramer of Ahymnsa will also be taking the stage with his eclectic and peace-bearing sounds. Ahymnsa is a Starved Rock area band who burst onto the local music scene a couple years ago with a simple concept: have fun, learn, and grow. With their second album to be released in Feb. 2013, the concept of the band has become actualized and is gaining momentum with each new melody they create. You can hear some of these sounds at ahymnsa.bandcamp.com
Price of the event is only $25 if paid in advance on-line or $30 at the door. Save your money with confidence as you may get 100% refund anytime 48 hours before the event per our Refund policy.
