Chicago Green Festival 2013 - Day 1, Saturday May 18th

The Green Festival is back in the Windy City!

ChicagoVeg is an official non-profit ally of Green Fest 2013 and we have free tickets for our members who will be attending it with us!

Please join us for this great event!

The festival runs from 10am to 6m on May 18 (Saturday) and from 11am to 5pm on May 19 (Sunday). There will be lots of "green" speakers, demos, yummy food, shopping, vendors, music and fun to be had for adults and kids! And to make it even better: We will have FREE tickets! So RSVP soon to save your spot!

*If you cannot attend this meetup on Saturday, you can also join us on Sunday! Here is the link to RSVP for Sunday's event:[masked]

Please consider to offer a few hours to volunteer at our table (CA-B). Both: ChicagoVeg and CGE groups will be presented at the table. For more info and to sign up:[masked]
Your help will be highly appreciated!

HOW TO FIND US: ChicagoVeg Organizer(s) will be wearing a name tag and waiting by ATM next to WBEZ Radio (please refer to the Navy Pier map) from 11:00 am to 11:20 am with the tickets for ONLY those who have RSVP'd "Yes". Please be mindful of your RSVPs and change them accordingly if you cannot attend so someone else can use your (or your guests) ticket. After you get your ticket you could go to explore the Festival on your own or with others.

PLEASE NOTE: Our free tickets will ONLY be available to you at the designated meetup place during the allotted time (11:00 to 11:20 am - no exceptions). Please allocate enough time for parking, etc. to come on time!

New this year at Green Festival: Bring three cans to donate and you will receive one free day pass! All food proceeds benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Can donations are welcome from one and all even if you are already getting free admission to the Green Festival (for more info: It's also a good opportunity to get for free if you could not come to get your free ticket at the meetup time.

Please use "Comments" area in the bottom of the event page to offer/ask rides and post any questions or comments.

is there a reasonable afforadable accessible substitute for the acidphilus benefits of nonfat or lowfat yogurt, like fermented eck what? calcium benefit of low fat cheese like fortified daiya? (i heard tofu/soy & other excessive legume escapades non-naturally increase estrogen.) i like almond or cocunut milk & can't stand regular milk. what about the big deal made about animal source omega 3s from seafood? can plant sourced omega 3s, if they exist, compete?
