'Eating' must see screening and discussion

In 'Eating', a movie by Mike Anderson, he talks about how diet has an effect on health and how changing it in the right ways can reverse cardiovascular disease, prevent cancers of various kinds and diabetes. The movie also throws some light on the impact of the western diet on the environment.

The movie is 88 minutes long and will be followed by some socializing and discussion.

We will be asking for a suggested donation of $5 for the event (more will be appreciated but no one will be turned away because of lack of funds). Everyone who donated will get a raffle ticket to win some prizes!

We also plan to give out some free Cobra Corn (vegan, No GMO) samples!

This is going to be a joint event between Chicagoland Independent & Documentary Films (CIDFilms)Chicagoland Vegetarian & Vegan Community (ChicagoVeg), and Inner Metamorphosis University (IMU) that generously offered the space for the screening.

Please come on time. The film discussion will follow the discussion.

Interesting film, good info shared. Bit dated.

I enjoyed the movie, the content and message, however a little bit dated and questionable accuracy. After movie there was a raffle and discussion

I am feeling so miserable right now. If someone needs to fit a friend in on my spot, please take it. I will join you guys at another event. I hope you enjoy the movie.

I would like to walk to the movie so I don't have to deal with parking, but I am hoping I can get a ride home (less than a mile away) because I normally don't walk that late at night--safety first! If anyone is willing to drop me off down on Morse that would be great. :)

I'd like to have one or two volunteers (from RSVP list) who don't mind to come a little earlier (40 minutes) and help with setting up the room, greeting and checking-off people from RSVP list, collecting $5, offering additional raffle tickets, help with clean up. Please send me a message if someone may help.

    Is there a parking there?

    February 13, 2014

    • Mike M.

There is street parking but no dedicated parking for IMU. You can probably find parking if you don't mind walking a few blocks.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
