I plan to organize some meetups to watch some videos together and maybe some discussion after that.
There are bunch of the possibililities (Food Inc., Future of Food, The World According To Monsanto, Eating, etc.)
Please use this message board to recommend/suggest what movie you would prefer to us to see in the next few months.
Also, please let us know if you have a copy of any video that you can lend for all of us to watch together.

Hi Vadim,
I am ordering the film: "A Delicate Balance - The Truth". These DVDs will arrive soon, you're more than welcome to use it for meetup. Just let me know.

If anyone has a good Home Theatre, 'Home' would be a wonderful movie to watch.

5 Food Films Everyone Who Eats Should See | Sustainable Food | Change.org

See link for more details and summaries. http://bit.ly/8Wjs5c

1. Food, Inc. (2008)
2. King Corn (2007)
3. The Real Dirt on Farmer John (2005)
4. Super Size Me (2004)
5. The Future of Food (2004)

Since I've seen all of the above, they are somewhat similar in content with a focus on food but overall different yet worthwhile viewing. Also, please see the "comments section" at the above listed link for other recommendations. Hi Everyone,

I just watched the movie The Beautiful Truth, I found it incredible and a great reason to pursue a vegan diet. It was similar to the book The China Study as it dealt with the power to heal with diet. Something different from the normal veggie movie. I would love to get together to do a meetup with this movie. Unfortunately I have a small TV not really suitable for a group showing, actually I had downloaded it from Netflix on my computer. But I would be willing to order it for the meetup and see if anyone local would be willing to share their home.

Thank you Liri - Hopefully somebody in North suburbs who may offer their space will contact you or me and we would be able to organize showing of this movie.

"Fast Food Nation" is a good movie, somewhat based on the nonfiction book.

Vadim,

Peggy and Jim said they would be happy to share their home in Highland Park, they have a much bigger TV than I do. We are working on a date.

I recently watched "Healing Cancer from the inside out". It was eye opening about the problems of a animal products based diet and the benefits of a plant based diet. I was moved, maybe you will be too.

The movie is hard to get and not in the normal channels, here is a link for Amazon
http://www.amazon.com...

They also sell the movie on their website:
