Winter Open Mini-Tournament - Nov1 - Jan10

Since the summer tournament couldn't get started, im going to start a small 3 game mini tournament to get things started again.
The rules are as follows:
-2500 points
-Special characters are allowed
-You must use the same army and army list for all 3 games. We will keep this on the honor system as this is more of a warm up/practice tournament.
-Play any 3 opponents who RSVP for this event. However, you cannot play the same opponent twice.
-Use the standard rules for determining victory points as listed in the rulebook. Based on the victory points, scores for each game will be awarded using the 20-0 system as shown below. The victor will be the player with the highest score, so it behooves you to fight until the end and get as many points as you can. Any player who conceeds receives 0 points, while his opponent will receive a full 20. Play any of the standard rulebook scenarios besides blood and glory or watchtower.

Those are the rules, should be simple enough to understand. Try and play games at Galactic Force or Chicago Dice Dojo when possible so we can support the few warhammer stores we have in the city. As long as at least 4 of us sign up, the competition is on. Games start immediately. Competition will end when complete, with a definite end date of December 10th. Post the results of each game (ex: Dom 15:5 victory over Sam) on this meetup, and I will update the standings here. RSVP with the Army you intend to play.

For some strange reason, daemons and undead met in a clash of shrieking violence. Cacophonous dark hymns filled the air while teeth gnashed against bone and claws raked the sinewy ethereal forms mysteriously disappearing from bloodless wounds. In the end there was little proof that a battle had even occurred save for a bone-strewn graveyard more telling of a struggle long forgotten.......

Ok extended the play period one more time to Jan 10th. I know there a few of you that are close to getting 3 games in. After that, perhaps we will start our season 2 league using a similar format, with one day tournament events in between over the next 6 months or so.

Probably will. Also hoping to pick a date for a dice dojo 3 game, 1 day club tournament. Always thought it would be fun if we could all be in one place for a tournament, drink some beer etc. Have talked to some of the dojo folks in the past and they showed interest. Pretty much we throw in 10 bucks a person or so, and they will help us with prize support. Will look into it more after the madness of this semester is over.
