I just got my license earlier this year and speaking from my experience, you should take advantage of the ARE Forum (http://www.areforum.o...) and AIA Chicago Study library. I think they have study group (informal) every Wednesday. AIA Chicago also have classes ($25 per class), which I took a couple of them. You may want to try one, usually there is a free introductory class in the fall and spring, may want to try that out first.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
