I want to meet other young professionals and learn about this community I am just getting into.
Since i'm currently doing freelance work, anytime is fine with notice. I would prefer week night
I love meeting people, so informal networking would be excellent. I hope to do a lot of volunteering so ways to give back to the community and educate would be the best to me
Just moved to Chicago and looking for work, friends and awesome things to do. I also ride elevators fearlessly
No one informed the volunteers that they needed to be in touch further than a side note at the bottom of the page. I even commented on there asking for additional information and no one responded to me. It wasn't until I took the initiative to get in touch with Ms. Patterson I found out I was too late. On day of the event, I received an email from one of the coordinators not even apologizing about the mix up but informing all of us that there is no room, which is unfortunate since I took the two days off work to help and I would have gotten this email 1 1/2 hours before the event. I am new to the group and I am sure that events that are posted here do not typically end up like this but can there be a better system of being sure people are informed? I think this is a fantastic group and I am grateful to be a part of it, I was just disappointed in the lack of professionalism with this particular event. I look forward to future opportunities and I say this as feedback, not an attack
