Chicago Astronomer Star Party - 06 June 2014

The Chicago Astronomer crew will conduct a public observation session Friday, the 6th of June 2014 at 8pm. Normally, we set-up scopes by the Adler area, but due to a concert in the area, we are relocating to Horner Park.

Full details here:

We will have three planets and a nice Moon to share with our friends and fans.

All Chicago Astronomer events are free and all are welcomed.

    Hey kids....

Pics and narrative are up from our Chicago Astronomer Friday night blast under the urban skies...

Thanks to all who came out to share views of the cosmos with us on a great evening together. I am thinking about a Chicago Astronomer Full Moon Rise party on the 13th of June. Stay tuned for updates here and on Chicago Astronomer social media feeds/website.

Urban astronomy is alive and well...with the Chicago Astronomer crew.

We attempt to schedule Chicago Astronomer events as far ahead as possible, but sometimes weather, locale and other factor conspire to just 48 hours or so. If you cannot make this one, no need to fret, as the Chicago Astronomers conduct numerous sessions throughout the observational season....attending to thousands.
