Are you currently working in the green technology sector?

Yes...I run my own consultancy focused on Smart Grid standards and policy; I'm focused primarily on North America, but keep an eye on other worldwide Smart Grid standards, too.

What are your specific green technology interests?

Primarily making the electricity grid more efficient, but also improving energy conservation in consumer electronics. Also, I lead the IEEE[masked] Television Energy Conservation effort, working to make TVs more energy efficient.

Do you have a topic that you would be willing to present?

Sure...I'd be happy to present on the state of various Smart Grid standards, and how those will eventually apply to consumers.

Smart Grid standards and policy geek. Active in Smart Grid standardization efforts, including NIST CSWG & Home-to-Grid Domain Expert Working Group; OpenSG; UPnP Forum; Bluetooth SIG; IEEE; and SAE. Back to Chicago after 17 years in Silicon Valley!
