Anyone interested in buying feed as a group?

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • Could we approach some company (such as Natures Grown Organics) and place an order for a few tons and get a better price than we get at the stores?

Is there other group buying that we could do?

I noticed they use soybean in their feed. I know some people don't want to use feed with soy. I haven't researched it personally so I can't comment pro or con.

I am interested in exploring to see how cost effective this endeavor would be. I feed 35 chickens and 7 ducks so cost is a huge factor for me. I would love to switch to organic if I can afford to.

We would be interested in an organic layer bulk buy. I have spoken with Midwest Organic Coop, I would recommend looking into what they have to offer.
I have also ran to Jefferson, WI for Cashton Organic layer feed which the ladies really love, they can offer better pricing on bulk orders as well.

It would have to be Organic Fed. I currently buy from Harvard Feed, a 50 pound bag is $23.00

I grew up on a farm in SW Michigan and remember fondly the chickens, ducks, and geese we raised.
