Greetings, Stitchers

We will meet Saturdays, 1:00 to 4:00 at Starbucks, 2118 Willow, Pass Rd.

Stitchers of all skill levels are welcome.

Also, please note we will meet at 1pm, at least initially, till we see the lay of the land.

I hope this new location will be convenient for everyone.  I am trying to keep our location close to our original one.

There is a $1.00 charge

PLEASE NOTE:

Please RSVP so I can have enough tables and chairs set up for us.

Thank you,

Paula

I think I am coming down with the cold that my sons have. Want to keep it away from you all. So sorry to miss. Want to hear how the new venue works. Hope to see you next time.

I'm a newbie and a friend of mine stated I should start by using a Bamboo Size 8 set of knitting needles because they are not as slippery as other ones and good for beginners. I really hope I can make the 16th.

Now that I'm physically able to knit again, the new location doesn't work for me. Stitch on!

What kind of yarn should I bring? (name of yarn, weight, etc)??

I would say a basic cotton or acrylic something not to skinny or thick. Like most of the yarns you see at Joann's this will give you a good feel while you start to learn. You can always use more fancy high quality yarn when you are ready to take on other project but cheep and basic is what I always recommend and light in color so you can see what you are doing, that way you can catch if you have dropped or doubled a stitch.

Sorry I haven't been at the last few meetings after the move I started working Saturdays while a coworker takes a needed class to graduate. Hope to be back come 2014. Miss you all and Jane, I think I may want to try your beret pattern.
