I am still pretty new to Madison and would like to meet some new folks. I've never been in a book club if you don't count getting an English degree; which is kind of like a very expensive book club.
The Mysteries of Pittsburgh by Michael Chabon if I had to pick 1. Cat's Cradle and Sirens of Titan by Vonnegut were formative reads for me. Also Hitchhiker. And Harry Potter. And on and on.
Spending more time than is strictly appropriate on the internet. Reading takes up an outsized share of my non-work, non-sleep hours.
I only have a handful of years in the 80s. I did dress a bit too much like an 80s transplant in high school, with it being the early two thousandsies.
this is funny- bravo!
Welcome to the group Ryan! I look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event! I hope you make it to our next mixed tape swap. Rob Gordon comes up frequently!
Hey Ryan welcome! You sound hilarious. Glad you joined! Did you read that new JK Rowling? The adult book? (OK that sounds wrong). I'm not touching it with a ten foot pole. It's earmarked for disappointment. Btw love what you said about an English degree. To true!
