Introduction
A native New Yorker, I lived in Beijing from 2000 to 2012 and started learning Mandarin in 1993. In China I built major multinational brands for Cendant and Burton from the ground up and conducted Corporate Communications for Fortune 100 companies.
What are your China business specialties? What things are you expert in?
I'm a specialist in all aspects of introducing and growing major multinational brands, products and services in China including strategic planning and brand positioning, business development, establishing and operating distribution networks, and creative event design. Over the course of my career I have pioneered new industries in China including winter sports, franchising, and hospitality.

What cities in the China region do you know the best?
Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tianjin, Wu Xi, Wuhan, Harbin, Changchun, Shenyang, Dalian, Shenzhen, and have visited most of the other Tier 2 cities and numerous Tier 3 and smaller cities and towns as well.
How many years, cumulative, have you lived in China? (its okay to answer 'none' - the journey of a thousand li begins with a single F visa)
12+ years. I first visited China in 1997, then lived there full time from 2000 to 2012.
