Regular Interpretation & Speaking CJK Practice

To CJK Experts and Native Speakers:

We practice like this (including, but not limited to):

Session 1 (7pm-8pm): Interpretation methods practice

For example, words, phrases or sentences interpretation, target language repeating, shadowing and summarization, etc.

We set three tables to practice Chinese, Japanese and Korean separately. The session is basically for intermediate & above Chinese, Japanese and Korean learners.

Session 2 (8pm-9pm): Topic-based speaking practice

Summary, speak or discuss the topic you are provided or you have prepared by your target language (Chinese, Japanese, Korean).

Also, everybody can move to any table as they want.

If you would like to practice English, please join our regular Saturday meetup generously hosted by Ajani.

Looking forward to practicing with you all!

Nice bonus to try Marcia's home-made cookies at the Chinese table! (Thanks Marcia.) Also completed interesting new article uploaded by Miaw.

Also, sorry for the rehash of last weeks activities, I've been really busy this week and didn't have a lot of time to come up with a new activity.

In any case, like last week, it looks like we may have quite a few new members, and for the Japanese group, I wanted to note a few things.

-Please remember that we prefer learners who can function at intermediate+ levels. I don't want to discourage people from coming, but you might have a difficult time if you are unable to read any Kanji or if you can't do more than very simple sentences in Japanese. I will try my best to accommodate everyone regardless of level, but if we have a large group, I have to move forward with our activities and focus on higher level learners.

-Please bring in headphones/earphones. We usually do an activity that requires listening to an MP3 of some sort, so it is important to bring this with you.
