I often see members of this group looking for time to study English, so I would like to give the non-native English speakers in our group an opportunity to improve their English just like they have given us the chance to improve our Chinese, Japanese, or Korean skills.

I also hope that by extending this opportunity, we will encourage more native speakers of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean to participate and aid our CJK practice on Wednesdays.

Our practice will include games, discussion, and reading activities. The reading activities will be conducted on a bi-weekly (every other week) basis. When we do not have a reading activity, we will do discussion based activities instead.

Any and all suggestions for methods, activities, etc. are welcome.

This group was created to function as an exchange. We help you and you help us.

For native speakers of Chinese, Japanese, or Korean, we hope that you will attend our meeting on Wednesday to help our language learners.

Also, this is a group for serious study.

Most of the study and language-exchange groups out there are more social than educational and more than anything our group wants to help non-native speakers improve and better enjoy the English language.

Of course, we will have fun with games and discussion, and we may have coffee or lunch after our meeting, but our focus is on learning. You will make friends here, but if that is your only purpose, it would be better to try another group.

Finally, for any native English speakers who are interested in helping, please contact me before RSVP'ing. We currently have all the help we need but if you really think you can be an asset to our group, we can talk about it.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to contact me (Ajani).

This was the first time for me to attend this meetup. And It was very productive. I’ll keep on attending your meetup. Anyways, I bought "Here is NY" today. :) Thank you so much!

    Hi everyone,

Tomorrow, we will do the following activities:

    1. Vocabulary game
    2. Idiom practice
    3. Reading and discussion
(the order may change depending on what happens tomorrow)

For the reading, we will look at excerpts from writings on New York by E.B. White. This has been uploaded to the "Files" section of this site. This can be found by going to the green menu at the top and going to "Files" under the button labeled "More".
The document for the reading also includes selected vocabulary to help you understand the text.

If possible, please read and print out the text for tomorrow.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
