( Drop in class): Learn how to paint a range of popular subjects using traditional and contemporary Chinese brush painting techniques. Traditional Chinese painting involves essentially the same techniques as calligraphy and is done with a brush dipped in black or colored ink.
Our London Chinese Brush painting class is for people interested in learning a new approach to art using oriental materials to create beautiful brushwork with ink and water, the classes will gradually increase in difficulty and feature such subjects as swallows, bamboo, wild orchids, plum blossoms, pandas, horses, peonies and more. You will receive a solid introduction to the subject with plenty of opportunity for practice and guidance from our Chinese painting artist, Master Yeut Yean Teo. Master Yean graduated from Nangyang Academy of Fine Art, which is the most prestigious art college in Singapore, this is where she learned Chinese Brush painting and Calligraphy technique, she also studied at the Camberwell College of Art in London, and her work exhibited locally and nationally. Master Yean has been teaching and lecturing for many years, She will be teaching Chinese painting and calligraphy at our studio in central London on every Friday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm.
This class is suitable for beginners as well as intermediate students, Chinese brush painting is an ongoing class you will not want to miss.
