Dinner and a Movie: VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA

Here's our opportunity to see the Oscar winning movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona. The Hub is a great location with a huge outdoor screen, a shaded patio (and fans), great food (fish tacos are my favorite), and a diverse beer and wine selection (including an excellent sangria). We'll get seated and place our food and drink orders starting at 7:00 p.m., movie will begin at about 7:30 p.m.. Drinks and food will be available throughout the movie (kitchen closes at 9:00 p.m.). Plot Description: Two young Americans spend a summer in Spain and meet a flamboyant artist (Javier Bardem) and his beautiful but insane ex-wife (Penelope Cruz). Vicky (Rebecca Hall) is straight-laced and about to be married. Cristina (Scarlett Johansson) is a sexually adventurous free spirit. When they all become amorously entangled, the results are both hilarious and harrowing. Starring: Scarlett Johansson, Penélope Cruz, Rebecca Hall, Javier Bardem Director: Woody Allen Venue: The Hub, 3815 Dry Creek Dr., Austin 78731 (www.thehubaustin.com) Where: Outside on the big screen

I enjoyed the movie and the location. I thought it was a very appropriate movie for the group, and a great location. I arrived late. which of course was my fault but it was difficult to tell who was in the group or which tables were included, so I really only met one person. It might make it easier for people to find others in the group if there were some kind of signs on the tables. If there were signs I couldn't see them. I am thankful for the group though, and will serve myself better by getting there earlier next time.
