This gaming group is dedicated to those who are crazy-busy-schedule gamers that want to get into a 4E D&D campaign.

Every time we meet we will pick the next time and date BEFORE we start thus guaranteeing a “next time”. The sessions will be at my place. Adequate gaming space, clean, pet free. There is a kitchen available for whatever you’d like to nuke or pop in the oven. Off street parking isn’t THAT bad or ART 77 (which comes straight from Courthouse Metro) stops right outside my place.

Most importantly all are welcome who are willing to play characters of good alignment and play agreeably with others.

Beginners are encouraged to join us!!!

The first session will start at 6pm and go till 9 - 9:30. We will be playing 4E D&D in the land of Havenfound an island of windswept steppes, deep green forests and high young mountains. You begin your fellowship during the Time of the Unveiling. We find your homeland besieged by unbeknownst evil and mysterious shadow newly fallen upon once pure shores.

Bring a first level character or I’ll have some available either way you’re gonna’ need it! :D Huzzah!

@Craig, sorry for leaving you out of the loop and being non responsive I have been very busy myself as I'm sure you have been. @Craig and Sean, yes, tonght, 6 - 930 ish if you would like to attend.

Well, first of all, you can let everybody know when the second meeting is. Those of us that couldn't make it to the first game had no way of knowing WHEN or even IF there would be a second game, especially since you've steadfastly refused to answer any and all emails over the past week...

I'll be there this time... Assuming my mother doesn't need another trip to the hospital tomorrow... BTW: what time of night? 6:00, like last week?

At this point, we have only the Bard and Psion (or Druid) committed. Craig the striker is a maybe. Defender or Striker is the obvious need.

So who is confirmed- and what does the party need?

Hi guys, I hate to do this, but I have a scheduling conflict. Right now I am overloaded, so I think I will have to drop out of the group. Sorry I did this at the last minute, good luck and have fun tomorrow.

LOL, been there what is it with those trees that hold like a whole flock of birds! Anyway sounds good as long as you are using game rules to do the hybriding and can help me by showing me too! :)
@ all: Basically I want to use the rule books mechanics.

All right, I'm going with a hybrid Fighter|Paladin. Will that work for you?

I will be parking. I think my car will be safe since it is so completely covered in bird crap that I hesitate to get in it myself.

I see your imagination is-a-flowin with a defender, stryker, bard, controler at the ready. I want you to have fun so please be what you want to be just be gracious if I ask you to compromise with me for the sake of the game. I would like you to use established rules when you decide because I don't have the experience with the myriad of systems and worlds out there to be able to know if something is unbalanced in a homebrewed character class. Any one got any questions? Park on any street adjcent.

@ppa2: Basically the game advances along and encounters will occure. Those encounters take any where from 10 to 30ish minutes. Then theres combat encounters and that takes typically an hourish. Adding story role play and decision making a session is about 3 to 4 hours.

    November 6, 2011

  • Craig E.

to ppa2: we'll letcha know once it starts

    November 6, 2011

  • John S.

ok, I'll go for Controller then - likely Psion as I haven't played one before.

    November 6, 2011

  • ppa2

Hi, I'm completely new to this group. I hope this is not a stupid question: How much combat is there in your D&D sessions ? How long does it generally take to go thru all the rounds & initiatives and defeat all the enemy opponents ?

    Thanks.

    I think I'll roll a bard then.

    November 6, 2011

  • Craig E.

Striker, here. Hopefully a sorcerer-flavored Hexblade variant I came up with. Sent Lance an email with the specs earlier. If not, I'll probably end up as a Scout, or maybe a Whirling Frenzy Barbarian. Looking forward to Thursday!

All right, since two of you are undecided, I call dibs on Defender.

And my friend is too busy right now, so it's just me.

I'm also willing to play any role/class. It's been a while since I've played 4e so I have several characters made that I haven't had a chance to play.

@Craig, I was toying with the idea of restriction because this is a Homebrew HOWEVER why limit the fun! I'll figure out a way of fitting your character in as long as your amicable. I would ask for continuity too (regarding character switching) but we can work on it together to the fun of all.

    November 4, 2011

  • Craig E.

Any req's on the characters? No using race X, no feats from book Y, no names starting with Z...? (lol) I tend to have a short attention span when it comes to games, sometimes showing up to games with a new character each meeting, so this COULD be important...

Depending where you work it may not be too bad. I know during rush hour its 25 minutes departing the GW area of DC. Either way I'm going to try and promote it a bit so if you change your mind the opportunity will still be here! Thanks for responding!
