"Rescue Your Love Life" #1 of 8 ("He/she should make some changes!")

Tonight we begin an eight-week video series called "Rescue Your Love Life."  These videos are based upon the book of the same name by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend. The subtitle is “Changing The Eight Dumb Attitudes and Behaviors that Will Sink Your Marriage” - but these attitudes and behaviors are found not just in marriages, but in many, if not most, relationships. Unrealistic expectations of partners are the root causes of many relationship failures. This material will help you understand past relationship experiences, and prepare yourself for healthier ones in the future.

An overview of the eight weeks:

Our weekly meetings run from 6:30 pm to 8:30pm. After a brief introduction, we see a video (or at other times of the year, hear from a live speaker) until about 7:30. Then after an overview of our program and some introductions and announcements, we take a short break and go into smaller groups at about 7:45 for the remainder of the meeting. There's a special group for newcomers and visitors, support groups, and discussion groups.

We also offer an on-site dinner, children's activities and infant/child care. These services are offered for a fee and require reservations in advance. Please click here  for details.

Please click here for information about Divorce and Relationship Recovery Burlingame and our schedule each week.

There are no fees or membership requirements for this program. You do not have to have a Meetup account or join our group to attend.

Your questions, concerns, ideas and suggestions can be submitted here.

Finally, you can learn more about the Divorce and Relationship Recovery Network, an independent, non-profit organization founded to launch and support new groups like this one. Your donation will help people in other areas to benefit from new Divorce and Relationship Recovery groups.

This class series was fantastic! I learned so much. The table leaders were insightful and encouraging. I found the handouts helpful in following along with the video.
