Announcing a new Meetup for Silicon Valley Chrome OS Group!

What: Google Chrome - extension hackathon and Hacker Dojo

When: November 19,[masked]:00 PM

Where:
Access Growth
2953 Bunker Hill Lane Suite 400
Santa Clara, CA 95050

The Chrome team has been working on extensions for awhile now, and they're looking to do the beta launch to consumers/regular users before the end of the year.

Extensions are written using regular HTML and Javascript, so they're super easy to create. Check out the getting started guide for writing extensions: http://code.google.com/chrome/extensions/getstarted.html

This event will be collaborating with SV GTUG (Google Technology User Group). People successfully building extensions will be invited to to give lightning talks/demos of their extensions at the GTUG December 2nd meeting.

Details are still being worked out soon, but I wanted to give you guys a heads up.

I will be working with Google the detail about speakers and supporting docs

-David
