If the weather is good on Sunday, Joan and I are going for a hike out west of Tokyo. There are many choices, so we are still thinking of where to go.
If you interested, please RSVP, and we will give more details this week!

So, we are thinking of meeting at Takao station ate 9 am and hiking south to Lake Shiroyama, then east to the ruins of Komatsu castle. From there, it is four more kilometers east to Aihara station, which is three stops south of Hachioji. I don't think it will be very long or very uphill. Since the sun sets so early, we want to finish with enough time and have time to relax up by the lake.

Joan and I are thinking about hiking up from Takao station (the one before Takao mountain) to a reservoir. Please bring food and LOTS of water - there is no place to get water on the trail...

This group is aimed at people who live on or near the Chuo Line here in Tokyo. There are LOTS of cool things to do in Tachikawa, Hachioji, Kokubunji, Koenji, Showa Park, even out in Ome and Takao.
Past events have been hiking, BBQs, hanami, dinner, drinks, etc. Any idea is welcome.
If you know of any interesting places or events, please suggest a new meetup!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
