Welcome!

Church in the Park is a six week series of church services that will be held in Reeves Park of Phoenixville, PA from June 14th through July 19th, 2009 on Sunday evenings at 6pm. Church in the Park is a casual –yet transcendent –gathering where ordinary men, women, and children join together to worship and celebrate our Creator.

Although Church in the Park is unashamedly convinced that the best life to be lived is the one lived in and through and to Jesus Christ, we seek to also be a church gathering that interacts with and addresses the questions, doubts, and obejctions of skeptics, agnostics, and the just-plain-curious.

During our six weeks together at Reeves Park, Church in the Park will feature teaching that will examine the brokenness that plagues our lives. We will take an honest and searching look at what is wrong in our world, our churches –even in our own persons. In each teaching time, we will try to understand how it is that Jesus Christ speaks into these areas, since it is in fact his mission to heal that which is broken:

“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners” Isaiah 61:3

****Kids in the Park****

Children of all ages are most welcome at Church in the Park. We will have a craft table setup for children that will feature crafts, face painting, and activities. Children are also welcome to sit through the service as well.
