I lived in hse with grandmother, she spoke Italian to my Mom, didn't understand too much. took Italian in High School, but never really practiced it. When I went to Italy, I remembered enough words to make myself understood. Would love to learn it properly.
Have been to Italy many times. From Lake Como to Sicily. We loved visiting. 3 grandparents from Sicily, 1 from Bari, a little town called Altemura. I visited there in the late 90,s. Since I lost my husband last year, my traveling days have ended.
That depends on WHAT you mean by "Dolce Vita" lovers??? I met my husband when we were 18 and was married many, many years. My idea of a Sweet Life is meeting fun people whom I have a lot in common with, enjoying good food and good conversation, and maybe some traveling.
I just answered this question in the above question. I would add, I have lots of family and friends living here in Orlando and in the Northeast. I am looking for some new friends that is not a constant reminder of my loss.
My name is jean firriolo all four grandparents born in Italy, i grew up in Bklyn,NY. My husband who passed away was italian also. We both grew up in a very ethnic environment and am very proud of my heritage. We traveled to italy ma y times
